Summer!

It's Summertime and that means BBQ, Cookouts, Block parties, and lots of time outside! Our painted mason jars are multi-purpose-- you can use them as decorations, utensil holders, straw holders, or as citronella candle holders (especially during these buggy months!)

These jars are painted with a high quality enamel paint that is fired at a high temperature to set the design permanently on the glass. These jars are waterproof, and able to be hand washed or put in the top rack of the dishwasher! These mason jars won't blow away in the summer wind, and are able to withstand outdoor wear and tear (i.e. rain, wind, pollen, etc.!)

Our cute designs make these affordable splashes of color for a birthday party, cookout, or as a fresh summer addition to your patio. Our watermelon and strawberry designs are great for the summer months!

This piece is very close to my heart. If someone asked me today how I'm doing, I would tell them "This is what loss feels like." Exploding, messy, ugly, angry, sad, honest, real, and most of all; blue.

Loss

As some of you may know, my husband Scott and I suffered a terrible tragedy earlier this year. Our daughter Johannah Faith passed away at 41 weeks due to still birth. Every day has its struggles, but in many ways Art is a such an amazing outlet. If you've ever suffered a great loss, you know that sometimes talking about it isn't helpful.
There is something so beautiful in finding creativity in the midst of grief. I think pain can be channeled into colors, paint, lines, and shapes that are so gripping. It's a relief to not always have to come up with words for how you're feeling because we're built by God to be much more intricate than words. Faith can be confusing in the midst of sadness and loss. But, we know that God doesn't waste a hurt, and that he doesn't make false promises.
The colors and lines that I'm loving right now are elegant, and soft like little Johannah. Pastel pink, lilac, periwinkle blue, and soft white remind me of her. Beautiful lines with elegant shapes like Willow branches, Oak trees, and floral vines. Every piece of glass I make has a story behind it, and I love sharing that with you. There's a lot of love, and beauty in these pieces, just like Johannah.
I pray if you're going through a loss of a loved one, that you can find peace and rest in God's promises. We're all in life together, and fellowship is such a wonderful blessing. If you're going through a loss, I'd be happy to talk. Please feel free to email me at willowcreekglassnh@gmail.com.

Newlywed, Artist, Home Decorator, Finder of All Things Beautiful

Willow Creek Glass originated from my love for all things beautiful. Soft, romantic, elegant designs are what I'm drawn to and what I love to create. I was on a search for one of a kind, beautiful items for my husband, Scott, and I's new home. I didn't want plain wine glasses to drink out of. I didn't want a generic vase to store our fresh cut flowers in. I didn't want to light romantic candles in plain holders with no style.

I went searching in nearby retail stores looking for these functional yet beautiful items and couldn't find any. I searched on Etsy, and found many beautiful things but none that matched my personal style. I love soft colors, organic scenes like trees, and flowers, and natural beautiful finds like seashells where each one is one of a kind.

Painting is my passion but it's so flat on canvas. I decided I would paint items for our home how I wanted them. Drinking out of wine glasses with pretty willow branches, putting our fresh cut roses into a vase draped with antique jewelry, and lighting candles for romantic dinners with soft pink cherry blossoms painted on the glass.

"The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away. It is always on his doorstep."
Paul Strand
